I recently purchased the KC combo built a pad put it together myself then realized the frame to the smoker door was bent 3/4 of an inch. I called customer care they stated it was cosmetic. Door frame is structural not cosmetic. I just paid 800 for a bent door no no seal smoker. How can I regulate temperature? If the door doesn’t shut correctly someone please help me customer care, more or less told me to just deal with it.

Walmart slogan is satisfaction guaranteed, take them up on it.

Understood but they said not to return it instead call pit boss to handle any issues. As the picture of the red paper says

35 minutes now I’m waiting on temperature to increase. The door not shutting all the way is a problem. CLEARLY

Still waiting had to turn the temperature up to get the temperature needed to smoke salmon. I started this 1 hr pit boss recipe. I believe it’s not holding temperature because the door is not closed correctly

907 finally 145 degrees. We can eat. Clearly the smoker is defective and im not sure what to do now both walmart and pitboss said return it to the other

Had the same issue with my KC Combo. I took it back to Walmart and they exchanged for another. New one had several others issues. These are not great smokers, my advice is return it and go with a green mountain or one of the other reputable companies. It’s a shame Pit Boss has gone down hill so quick.
