I had to cut out a little with dremel. Wiring is plug and play

It’s a PID holds temps tighter. 8 hour cook Sunday, temps never varied more than 5 degrees. You can also set temps in 5 degree increments. On the legacy you don’t have that. I’ve owned both if you’re on the fence I recommend spending the few extra dollars for the new one.

This one does not but I believe the 1600 pro elite does. However they have yet to offer thug controller for sal as a replacement part

I’ll have to do a bit more cutting but it shouldn’t be a problem since I installed car audio for a number of years. I’ll take plenty of pictures.

I have a PB820PS1 and am looking to upgrade my controller. I like the Wi-Fi aspect but hear it is sketchy/problematic but I have never used/owned one. I would like something with a better control, Wi-Fi is nice, extra meat probes never hurt. Just looking for something reliable. I was looking at the CAT-01-PG, then after seeing this thread and what malligood did, maybe the 80061 (assume is it pretty much the same as the 80062). But now with what Glove is doing should I add a 80146 to the possibility list?

I have no problem trimming to make something fit. I just want it to work well. BTW, are the temp probes interchangeable or does that need to be changed too?

Pit Boss just released their own app last week. It’s seems very stable and they’ve indicated they will add bells and whistles. The probes should interchange. I’m using the ones that came with my Austin.

Yes the new app works well so far and hopefully they will add a few more features like temp graphs, low/high temp probe settings, and audible alarms to it as it’s updated.
