Hi everyone!!!

I have the Austin XL and have had It for a few years now and I love it!! As with anything stuff has started to wear and it had been tripping the mains fuse so after research I changed the igniter. Turns out I didn’t do enough research…..everything I can find online is 120v and my OG igniter says 200v.

I did find a 200v replacement, bought it, fitted it and it got a little better so can now run the ignition at the start and maybe only trip once or twice but clearly still a pain.

I was wondering if anyone knew of where I can pick up GENUINE replacement parts in the UK or if there is a link to one that someone has already used please?!?!?

I haven’t. Usually the forums are way more helpful for stuff like this, especially as I’m out of warranty. I think I have now sorted the igniter with a new fuse for the board but in doing so the fan has now gone (FFS!!!!) tested the fan using the auger motor connection and it’s fine so new control board needed!! Reading through the forums these are all really common issues, electrical stuff shouldn’t live outside I guess.

You also might check the fuse. Forgot about that awhile ago

Hi Again.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and the help.

So….i have tried to get in touch with the EU warranty guys and still waiting to hear back. In the meantime time I bought an aftermarket control board, fitted it and POP the fuse blew up as soon as I turned the mains power on, not even switching the smoker on. I replaced the fuse and tried again…still the same.

Has anyone else had this? Have I done something wrong, I’m sure I replaced the connectors as they came out so cannot understand why it’s blowing.

Also, does anyone have any links to control boards that do work that I could maybe try please?

Many Thanks
