it doesn't seem to want to heat up to 350 degrees. The hottest I've been able to heat it to is around 260 degrees. I've read about having a shorter extension cord. Does that really make a difference? I know the temp probe is about 20 degrees different than the meat probe. I tested it by hanging the probe inside the smoker.
