Software that allows the auger to be primed so the user doesn’t have to stand there holding a button?

Is this possible? Has anyone thought of this or asked this question? Maybe ran across Pitt Boss? The model I’m using is the PB850DX.

I saw someone modified the controller with a manual switch but I wonder if it’s just easier to be able to manually operate the auger to make priming easier.

Maybe Pit Boss could make an update to include this feature.

My theory on the entire thing is to stay away from updating one or using an app. Leave it like it was when you purchased it
The only thing I’ve done is to stay away from the original probes and use a INKBIRD.

Thanks for the welcoming response on my first post. I’m still new to pellet grill and am having a great experience so far. I’ve done some 5 hour pork ribs from raw. Everyone loved them. At some point I gotta do a brisket.

I do dislike having to hold that stoopid prime button, but I'm pretty sure one of us idjots would find a way to feed way too many pellets into the firepot if we had a way to let that prime feed switch run and run and run...

I think I’m going to leave well enough alone for now. I love the way this thing cooks. Just got done cooking some sausages for dinner.
