Smoke Tubes (Unused pellets)

If I have a 4 hour smoke tube but only use it for two hours, how does one put out the pellets? Or do you just let them burn out?

Agree with Steve in filling only half way. When I end with unburnt pellets I just leave them to burn out.

I usually just let it burn out but if I want put it out. I either pour beer on it or spray it with my spritz bottle if using.

Find a flame proof airtight container it will fit in. Drop it in and seal it up.

I have a short tube that I use for shorter cooks (lasts about 2 hours). For anyone out there looking to buy tubes I found a set (one long and one short) on Amazon for cheap. Cant remember the cost.

I just let it burn, I guess you could find like a still doubt rod and cut it to half the length of the tube and maybe use two or three of them to put in the tube to take up the space if it's that big of a deal. I just let mine burn it's just a handful of pellets literally at that point, you can get a mister and just spray it.

Put the smoke tube into a large mason jar and put the lid on. That will keep them dry enough to burn. Next time, just add more pellets.
