Looking forward to the meat smoking vibe. Have a PB-K-24 ceramic which I do love but just picked up a PB150PPS portable table top.. Looking forward to some smaller cooks and the ease of pellets. Let me know if you see a controller mod as I would like wifi monitoring capability and thinking someone may have already swapped a controller from an 850-1150 or something else into the table top but not sure. Peace Out

Welcome...did you call customer support if there is a controller made for it? Or if another model will work in it?

So I have the same smoker. The table top PB150. When i started it up, I followed all the instructions. The auger did not move. So after some investigation, I found that if I tapped the white fan it would rotate. (Being an electric motor guy, I figured ti would just need to burn off the resin. Not rue, unfortunately) After reading some other comment on google I found the motor may be running backwards. (Looking for confirmation in this group) The fan (white) is pulling air away from the motor, kinda makes sense, but when I searched, I found the fan is supposed ot rotate clockwise not counter clock wise. So that said, I saw a few posts where folks were saying to reverse the wiring and the fn would run in the opposite direction. Makes sense being an AC motor. Haven't done thi as the pins need to be extracted and then swapped. That said, the motor seems to be a bit tight.

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if they have a different solution.
I of course could send back, but I hate doing that and just want to cook on this smoker. Also it appears the motor is installed incorrectly where it has no support, and is completely loose. While it appears to be just haning there, the auger rotates and the motor just flops around.

Welcome @BURLYMANCHEF to the forum! Let us know how that PB150PPS works out for you after a few smokes. I've been wanting one to take camping.

Hope you had better luck than I did. My motor is definitely installed incorrectly, and the motor was wired backwards. After receiving another motor from Amazon, I see the motor has more problems then running backwards and being installed wrong. It is bound up. I'm not giving up. But will be sending a note to PitBoss.

Follow-up
I replaced the auger motor. Everything worked perfectly as designed. I guess I am just one of the unlucky ones. Still pulls the air out not in, but not sure if that is correct or not. Smoking tonight a chicken. We'll see what happens. So far everything is perfect. Will report back. Will be talking to PitBoss about a possible reimbursement of the cost of the motor. If not, no biggy.

I will say that I broke in the PB150PPS on Sunday for psuedo pastrami aka corned beef brisket that my amigo donated to the cause for a first time smoke. The corned beef was washed (i would recommend a cold water soak of a couple hours before hand as the end smoked past product was a bit over salted which would have been taken care of if you boiled your corned beef so definately soak pat dry and add black pepper and coriander to a 60/40 BP to C ratio. So I turned the unit off after a 40 minute burn and the added the pastrami brisket (smaller 6 pound mostly flat with the beginning of the point) then fired it up again at 225 and went on..6 hours in had a stall at 152 and then finally after probably 1.5 hours started going up and pulled at 180 then pink paper wrapped and bumped up to 250. Pulled at 193 and did the bamboo skewer test and in went right through.. I was solid and 4 peeps ate the whole thing with 4 pastrami rueben sandwiches. I did have some shrinkage and we ate some as we were cutting... I was concerned the pot would be filled with ask but there was literally only alittle black carbon and just a hair of ash in the pot. I was super happy with it and took the advice and put the left hand legs front and back on a 1/2 " piece of would to angle as people have said its a short run for the auger and that has eliminated pellets not moving towards the pot. All in all very happy with the cook and the taste.. Will be doing another cook over this coming weekend and informing with some pics. Peace Out
