Pitboss 1000D3 - Grease not going were it should

I purchased a Pitboss 1000D3 a few months ago. I'm having issues with the grease going out the wrong side. It doesn't go in the grease pan. Any ideas why?

Make sure the deflector plate is in place correctly and feeding grease into the drain trough.

Check the alignment of your drip tray. It should be slanted highnleft to low right. The dri tray slots over the grease shield slots on the left and on top on the grease shield on the right.
