Pit Boss Series 3 Vertical Burn Off

Looked up the process for FIRST BURN. Everything went well for the first stage or 2. Then I set series 3 vertical at 350 and closed the door. All seemed to be going to plan. The temperature reached 350 as per the setting selected. Then she just kept on climbing. I hit the power button at 380. Any suggestions? Brand new control panel and Auger motor installed. Those parts never worked outta the box unfortunately. $1000 smoker so far that don’t work!

Turn it off. Let it cool down and try again
My 820 took a couple of times to settle down

Let it go and see what happens. I had my 1150 up 508° during my first burn in day. Went through almost a whole bag of pellets. LoL

First burn in on my series 3 hit over 400 when I had it on 350. I just kept it going and it never errored out on me. Just takes some patience with them.
