Pit-Boss Platinum Brunswick pellet smoker

Just did my very first burn-off and powered my Pit-Boss off. My fan is still running like 20 minutes and counting.
IS THIS NORMAL? How long does it take for the fan to shut off along with the smoker. Should I just unplug if the fan never shuts down? Thanks….

Yes, it should run for a while. If it's still going after a half hour just unplug it.

Thanks for the tip. You would think it would run correctly after paying $500

When you first start out after turning it on, do you turn dial to the left and see “S” ?

mine does not say that. I think it just says 140. Is it supposed to say “S”?

and do you immediately go to your desired meat temp or leave it on low smoke setting for a while?
I’m kind of confused. Thanks
