Ok I did 2 mods on my grill which was delivered last Tuesday.
1) sear plate attachment so I can open/close from outside .
2) folding shelf

I forgot to say the reason I installed a folding shelf was because wouldn’t fit the cover.

Get a heat blanket for it. Will hold in all smoke

I would have thought ALL models with a sear plate already had a handle on the outside to open and close ? Why would it not, the grates are covering the sear plate anyway.

MY 700 didnt either so i made one...

Then i never used it so i moved the slide plate to over the fire pot as a difuser. Made the grill cook much better....

Good idea. Yeah, I never use it either. I use my Weber for grillin'.
