Pit boss app issue

Having an issue connecting my pitboss app to the WiFi. I was able able to connect the app via Bluetooth to my pro series but the app seems to have an issue scrolling on my iPhone and no WiFi options are showing

Try uninstalling it and reinstall it

I tried that on my iphone but when i reinstalled all of the information was still saved.

I understand folks buying these grills with that feature but to me it’s a headache
I don’t even use the PitBoss probes. I use a INKBIRD
Just set and let it go.
You might reach out to PitBoss support and see if they can figure it out
It’s still under warranty

i'll have to reach out. i don't know how much i really plan on using the wifi portion, I think it just erks me more than anything that i just opened it and something is already not working. seems to be an app issue though. the words are jumbled together and spaced improperly. I have a Weber probe, cheap instant thermometer and a Meater so I am sure i'll be fine without it

are there any must try items to smoke. I just lucked into the Pro 850 from work but originally had a propane vertical cusinart smoker. It was fine to get my feet wet in the smoking realm but I hardly used it with the amount of babysitting it took to maintain the temp. Not sure if it was my lack of knowledge or their poor design. It basically had a stove at the bottom that heated a heavy porcelain pan that had a center space for the wood chunks and a water pan surrounding it. I would constantly having temp swings of 50-75 degrees out of no where

Are you using a larger than normal text size on your iPhone ? I was, and it was preventing me from seeing all of the pages in the app. I had to set my text size back to normal to see everything (including the wifi configuration page).

I have 2 meater+ and just had issues woth them. They worked but i got an CHEF IQ and it is really good on connections wifi/bluetooth. Puts meater to shame (its wireless as well). As to ideas try chicken wings or breast's, fairly easy to get your feet wet and use a variety of recipe sources on the Net, PB, TRAGER, ZGRILL, ETC.

Finally got it figured out. Talked to the right person on chat. My text was enlarged so the app was having issues with that. Scaled it back and good as new

I just installed the wifi controller Saturday and could not see any wifi choices on my iPhone. Got to thinking about my iPhone font settings and enlarged it was! Sooo sized font size down on phone and could see the wifi selections and got grill connected to wifi in a matter of moments. Monitored the cook of a huge pork loin from my recliner without a hitch! Thanks for your idea, it got me going!
