Thought it interesting because 1. There is false information elsewhere on the internet that you can tell from the box. And 2. the responder mentions "the near future", so maybe a firmware update is coming.

Hello, interested in buying the 850 from Lowes. How can I tell if the units they have in inventory have the 10 degree temperature increments? If I get one that is not, will there be a retro fit somewhere down the road? Thank you

Hi there, you won't be able to tell from the box if it has 10 increments. In the near future, it is possible there will be an update.
