PB 1150 2 - temperature issues

I've measured the temp on my grill with two different sets of probes. Maybe the probes are crap, but both of them show the temp on the right side way lower than the probes on the left side. This is opposite of what I've found from everyone else, who's grills are hotter on the right.
Are there any definitive fixes that I can put in there that will distribute the heat evenly?

Are you using the large diffuser plate (see my other post that you replied to earlier)? How much of a temp difference are you seeing left vs right? Is the left side consistently much higher, or is the biggest difference right after the auger feeds more pellets? You said you have the PB 1150 2 - is that the Pro Series II with the PID controller?

Since I removed the diffuser plate (per suggestion from Pit Boss customer service), the left side of my grill is hotter than the left side, just like you.

I use a meat thermometer I bought off Amazon that I can calibrate even though my 820 probes are accurate

I also removed the diffuser plate but also added a hunk of foil around the thermometer to insulate it from direct heat from the firebox. The Smokes Like A Boss guys have a nice custom one.
