Hope this helps any new purchasers and has not been explained here in this forum already.

Assembly instructions #18 - Installing Side Burner Valve DO NOT TIGHTEN the two screws on the front of shelf
leave them out and skip instruction #19 mount the burner knob. Maneuver the two gas line tubes together carefully first then go back and complete steps #18 and #19. Instruction #20, there is no way you can remove the factory installed two screws on the underside of the side burner ( must be locktite in place ). The two connections overlap so much that it is impossible to bend them and put one inside the other if you follow the step by step instructions. Hope this helps other 1100 purchasers.
