Non smoking Pit Boss

I have a Laredo 1000 Pit Boss grill and I am new to smoking food.. When I start my grill, I get smoke on start up then nothing after that.. I have changed pellets with 3 different flavors and to no avail. I have talked with neighbors about my issue who they are both regular pellet grill smokers. They said I have a problem. Any suggestions. Need help.

They are known for not making a lot of smoke or having issiues but try using your prime button or using smoke setting and p setting

Also pellet smoker make blue smoke it’s a clean burn what have you tried cooking?

I have used the prime button and yes it does add more to the burner. I have not P setting like I have read on other Pit boss grills. Like I mentioned, I only get the initial smoke on the startup. I have cooked steaks, ribs, chicken and Jalapeno poppers. I know that when I am smoking anything and later when I open the grill lid, I don't really even get that smoke smell. I know when my neighbors are cooking something, I can smell it all the way over in my backyard. I don't get anything like that at all.
When I hit the prime button, I am just feeding more pellets into the burner and of course the temp is going up. I do think that it is smoking more when I do that but, maybe the burner area just doesn't have enough pellets in it or something like that. I get more smoke flavor from a smoke tube box built into my propane grill. I also get the hint of smoke flavor which I shouldn't have to buy a smoker tube for a Pit Boss smoker grill.

I have used Pit Boss a competition blend, Traeger Hickory blend and Walmart Pecan and Apple .
