Dansons customer service will say no, naturally. If you have to splice wires and fit new connectors on or if there's not an exact fit for the panel they will say no. you can retrofit pretty much any PID controller made for pellet grills (they all control the same 5 components) - but if you can't adjust the auger speed and manually calibrate the main probe via app or on the controller it probably wont be accurate (each PID is pre-calibrated for the hardware of the grill its shipped with- design, size, fan size, hot rot size, etc) The rec tech RT-700 is a great PID + Wifi option for pretty much any pellet grill since it has all the bells and whistles, easy to wire and calibrate auger and temps, but Recteq they wont sell it if you don't own a Rec Tec/Recteq grill with serial number. Other one-off stuff works just as well too, as expected (e.g Smoke Daddy Pellet Pro, Savannah etc)
Does anyone know if the 1600 can be calibrated?
