New pellet smoker owner

Hi! New to pellet smokers. Bought the KC Combo because I liked the idea of replacing my smoker and gas grill with one large unit. Jury is still out. The gas grill is smaller than I’m used to but is adequate for weeknight dinners. But the smoker side has been quite difficult from the beginning. I have used wood smokers and electric smokers and this one is the most difficult- which is irritating because I hoped it would give me the ease of the electric smoker with the flavor of the wood smoker.
