Just bought a PB Lexington, so excited to use it. Quick question though to you experts… did Miss something during assembly, or am I expected to use my poor fingers (lol) to open/close the top slider of the flame broiler to get a broil on steak and such? I didn’t see a lever or anything to open/close? But it’s clearly advertised on the box that there is the ability to sear food.
Thanks in advance!!!

I used a curved piece of metal to reach between grates to move it. That was a pain. I made a handle to do it. Works great. I copied the design from a new grill i daw in a store.

You are correct. On the Lexington, there is no lever to operate the flame broiler slider plate. Operating it is left to your imagination, depending on whether the grill is hot or cold.
Personally, I have never used the flame broiler feature, and probably never will. I have a very nice propane bbq grill that I can sear with. I use my Pit Boss exclusively for smoking.
