Hey guys, new guy who knows very little about pellet grills. I just obtained a Pit Boss PB700FB1 that I got a "smoking" deal on in an auction at a fundraiser. It was a donation from Tractor Supply, so I will try and patronize them for pellets and supplies. . I would have preferred something a little larger / nicer, but just could not pass up the deal I got on this one. And, with it being my first one, probably a good one to start with. I have spent several hours watching YouTube videos trying to learn how to "burn it in" (already done this week) and am ready to give it a try in a day or two.
Anyway, please bear with me...... I'll probably need to ask a few dumb questions as I try and get this thing going.

I have a PB700FB and love it. It's my first pellet grill. This is my 2nd full year of ownership. My first few cooks had me freaking out about temp swings. Now i set it and forget it. I let it do its thing and it produces awesome results. It still has temp swings, but im not concerned about them anymore. I was about to give up on pellet grills and am glad i didn't. Don't be too concerned, let it do its thing and enjoy it....

Hey there, from CT!

Everyone starts out with questions. Good folks here have helped a lot. I haven’t posted but just reading chains has helped ALOT!
