Need directions!

I just purchased this PB1150PS2 from Lowes a couple days ago. The direction book is quite anemic. The big colorful poster glued to the lid shows 8 different ways to cook, but the book gives no instructions, even in the recipe section, on what changes to the unit are required to prepare any of them. I'm anxious to learn from the experience of this group.

I got the PB850PS2 and no manual for it on the website, also no cover,
do you know how the Smoke Density Control works?
neither do I, but they advertise it on the packaging.
