My vertical smoker PBV4PS2 will only heat up to about 120 and for some reason smoke and heat is coming thru the hopper causing moisture in my pellets? Any ideas?
My Smoker is down!!! HELP!!!!

I have the same model, but haven’t had that issue.
Is the removable burn pot back in completely?
If you take out the burn pot and look at the auger can you see any obstructions?
How old are the pellets?
Just some ideas.

check you induction fan, maybe it's failing, spinning slower than needed.
It happened to mine one time and that was the problem.

Give Pit Boss Tech support a call 877 303 3134 option 2.
Mine was doing the same thing and then the control panel caught on fire and then the hopper was on fire! Pit Boss will only replace the part, no matter how old the unit. Mine was less than 4 months old. These things are dangerous! This was not a small fire and it would have burned my house down had I not been home.
My horizontal did that once because I didn't vacuum it out after a long cook.i had more smoke coming out of the hopper than the smoker itself
I let it cool down vacuumed it out with a shop vac worked fine after that. The ashes had backed up into the anger and blocked it
