My smoker is a joker

I'm less than a year into ownership of my navigator combo and I can honestly say its the worst piece of equipment I have had the displeasure of owning. Out of the box I had issues with the paint on the grates being chipped and factory installed screws being missing. The vent cover on the smoker side was bent from having one screw as the other was missing. A few weeks in I notice the paint was lifting on the side tray with no apparent damage it was obviously paint failure due to contamination on the surface prior to painting. 4 months on and despite being covered with the official cover which by the way is falling apart my bbq now looks like a piece of just you'd find on the sidewalk. To add to my displeasure the fan no longer works be it a fault with the fan or controller, either way the smoker is unusable. What have pitboss done? Absolutely nothing with only one email in 2 months asking for pictures. Unfortunately im in the UK so my options are limited for legal action against them. When nothing will be done within 9 months of ownership I have no faith that this unit will live to see if they will hour anything in the 5 year guarantee.

Yea, that’s no good. I was in Lowe’s the other day looking over a PitBoss horizontal model. The inside looks solid, but the lid and side shelves seemed a bit on the flimsy side. Meaning more give and flexing than what’s I’d want.
I’m sticking with my vertical anyway. So far so good for me.
 
I'd call customer service 877 303 3134 option 2.
I'm in the UK. Pittboss will only deal with the importer and are ignoring them. I'm told they are severing ties with pitboss for these very reasons, substandard materials and no dealer support for the numerous warranty claims
