Melted hopper

Hello, I friend used my pit boss smoker and didn’t cleaning the hopper out. Ended up melting the plastic hopper hinge so now there’s a hole there. Am I still able to use the pit boss with that hole in the lid? Can I cover it up and use it?

Ya should be able to install a metal hinge on it
