Hello everyone! Glad to be a part of this group, a lot of good information here! Hopefully I can get some insight on my issue. I just purchased my first Pit Boss grill, I bought the Laredo 1000. I fired it up for the first time over the weekend and at first everything went well. Then about 8 hours in to smoking a shoulder it stopped and shot me an ERR MESSAGE and the igniter icon started flashing. I shut it down, refired it and was good for another hour or so… then it did it again. This time I took the bottom grates and lower covers off and did a quick clean out around the igniter. Fired it up again and it lasted about another hour and stopped again. I had to do this quite a few times until the shoulder reached optimal temp and was finally finished. Needless to say, this was a huge pain in the ass. It seems that the igniter would shut down when there got to be some ash build up from the pellets and I would have to go in and clean out around it. Is anyone else having this issue? I am using Pit Boss pellets.

Min is doinf something similar I have the laredo 1000 as well. piece of complete trash. Total waste of my money. Now when I turn it on it stay on for about 5 or 6 seconds. stops, and says err with ignitor flashing. I wont stay on long at all. It would do this when I first got it but after powering down and then powering back up it would stay on for hours. now....nothing....thinking about making it into something for target practice with my 12 gauge
