I’m new to pellet grills but this weekend I tried to cook a slab of ribs and 8 chicken thighs.

Here is what I noticed. For the first 3 hours I cooked at 180 but I had temp swings from 150-200 then the last 3 hours I cooked at 225 but I had temp swings from 215-250.

Is this normal?
Is there a trick to keeps this from happening?

I was having the same problem but my temperatures swing from 195 to 310 when the temperature is set the 225. I still haven’t been able to figure it out I did call pitboss and I left a phone number and they did call me back but I have to call them back again because the adjustment I made didn’t work
