Hey guys, I’ve had my putt boss KC combo just under a year and it’s been absolutely amazing, until the end of June.

I cooked up three big pork butts for my dads 70th and right at the end the heat was dying.

I took it apart packed up the meat, that cook went well overall and the party was great.

I cleaned out the entire grill, scrubbed the grates, the heat shields and used a shop vac to vacuum out all the ash and junk and cleaned it out. I thought it was gonna be fine after that.

The last two cooks since the heat dies at some point or even gets too hot, like I had it set to 300 and it got up to 370 this evening then it started dying out. I think the sensor for the heat internally is messed up but I can’t figure out how to fix it, and I was troubleshooting and held the auger feeder button and it fed plenty of pellets through and the grill heated up. That’s why I think it is the thermometer or sensor internally.

Any recommendations? I can attack pics.

Sounds like the thermocouple in the digital temperature probe is sticking. Try applying some high heat directly to the probe with a torch or try this alcohol hack to see if you can get it working again until you can get it replaced under warranty.
