Igniter Stays On

Just received and installed a new rapid igniter. All seemed to work fine but 1/2 hour after turning it off, the igniter is still glowing red hot. Please share your thoughts.

Did the shut down sequence turn off the fan and auger after a period of time?

My Platinum 1250 has the rapid igniter. After it shuts down, I unplug it. So never really noticed if the igniter was still hot.

Sorry for the delayed response. Yes. Seems to cycle off as expected except igniter stays lit. This may be why I have had to replace the original igniter twice already.
