Hi all,

I’m a huge fan of McDonald's breakfast menu, and one item I can’t get enough of is their sausage patty—so juicy and flavorful! I’ve been using my Pit Boss grill for some time now, but I’m wondering if anyone has figured out how to replicate McDonald's sausage quality at home using a pellet grill? I’ve tried a few different sausage types, but I haven't quite gotten that tender, perfectly cooked texture McDonald's does. What settings, temperatures, or techniques should I be using to get them just right?

Can you get the same result, they cook on a stainless flat top giving you a grispy type surface. Perhaps you can add a flat top or put a cast iron pan right over the burn pit and see if that helps?
 
I think this would be my approach, but I'd try some store bought Owen's or HEB sausage rolls first, before grinding up my own. That's just too much work for me as I'd rather be on the pistol range. 😬

When butts go on sale, I grind my own mix. though it is a PITA separating the fat before grinding. double grind coarse then medium. you can google "jimmy dean" copycat sausage for spice recipes.
Mama makes me a sausage egg biscuit every morning. No smoke flavor but neither is McDonalds
