Hey guys! New to the forum and Pit Boss, but not to smoked foods. Was a Competition BBQ guy for about 6 years competing in Montana, Idaho, Utah & Washington. Built a trailer reverse flow stick burner from scratch modeled off a Lang.
Have had lots of pellet experience with Traeger, Rec Teq, GMG and Sawtooth.
Decided to get the KC Combo to replace my Weber Performer, Sawtooth & Hasty Bake Gourmet (wife said I had too many smokers!), so had a garage sale this past weekend and made it happen!
So far my experience with the KC Combo has been great! Packaging was awesome and assembly took 1:45 and 4 beers with no cursing! ?
Have used the griddle quite a lot already and don’t know if the gas grates will see much action! So far the smoker has been great, heats up fast and holds temp well. I immediately registered my grill with PB and then downloaded and installed the software app and it is working great. I will find a way to keep the lights on when using only the propane side too!
Anyways, just wanted to say hello! Looks like a great forum and I look forward to giving and receiving help and many tasty cooks!
