Display not readable

The display on our PB3VD1 is not readable. The unit works but I cannot tell what the temperature setting or time is. Have others had this or a similar problem? Do I need to replace the electronic display and if I do will a new one do the same after a few uses?

My 820 did that right after I seasoned it.
mice cooked on it twice since then. Today I plugged it in and it worked for about 45 minutes then went dark. They’re sending me a new board
