Controller update

Hi I have a Laredo 1000 platinum grill, Is there anyway to update the controller so that I can get 5° or 10°increments? Also the smoke it app is really jacked up, Does pit boss plan to fix that?

Unfortunately PitBoss doesn’t do over the air updates to their controllers. I looked at the Larado 1000, it is a great value for the price. With the large display built into the hopper lid, it seemed like an overall negative feature. Swapping out to a 3rd party controller is not straightforward and sending the controller back to PitBoss is not as easy as with the controllers that are mounted to the pellet hopper wall.
