Cleaning out the hopper

Prepping my smoker for thanksgiving and its def a bit dusty in general in my hopper...I am thinking just a damp rag to wipe it but not so damp that water gets in the auger...do you guys do anything different/extra?

Yea just looking at it now I was going to vacuum before using any cloth

I do both, vacuum it out and then use a damp rag to wipe was was still there due to static cling.

Leaf blower.....

I use my hand held blower even in the cook chamber. Have the PB1150PS2 so I pop the fire pot out and blow it out completely. Only take it apart and clean when I need to replace the foil covering diff plate.

if I dont have to much dust I just leave it but my PB 4 has a nice door at the bottom of my hopper that helps in clean out

Every now and then I empty the hopper by way of that door and then with a shop vac or leaf blower give a blast of air through the auger tube.
