Hey everybody,
I just got the Pit boss 1600, I was filling the hopper for initial burn off with PB hickory and saw large chards of wood some up to 3 inches long go into my hopper. I got them out as I was concerned with them jamming my auger. Is it normal for PB pellets to have large pieces of unprocessed wood in the bag? Im new to pellet smokers and would love any insight. Thanks!

I shake my pellets thru a screen & Never run into that issue.

Thanks for the reply. Do you find any big pieces generally when you screen your pellets? I'm wondering if thats common in PB pellets, or does that happen in all brands of pellets. Im new to this, thanks for your patience in advance
