Hello...I just purchased the 4-burner ultimate lift-off griddle. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for the best knife to use on the ceramic surface? I don't want to scratch the coating, so I appreciate any help. Thanks!!

From the manual for the 4 burner ultimate lift-off griddle, "The Hot Plate of your griddle is ceramic-coated. The best utensils to use are wood, silcone, or nylon, as these materials will reduce the wear on the cooking surface."

Do you happen to know of any brands of silicone or nylon knives that would hold up on a griddle? I’m having trouble finding a non-metal knife that can withstand the heat.

Hello, I use BRODARK Damascus Chef Knife. It won't scratch the coating at all.

Hi I just bought the same griddle. First post too. I ended up buying a couple Nylon Knives on Amazon. I'll see how they work. I see this knife is stainless steel. Is this OK? This is why I bought the nylon knives.

Hi, danno, have you had a chance to try out the nylon knives yet?

Thanks for the suggestion.
Isn't that a metal Blade?

The nylon knives work OK. Depends what your cutting on the grill top. With chicken breasts, you need a few more strokes with the blade than a metal blade. But it does cut through.
