Austin XL PID Controller

I'm looking for advice on getting a PID controller for my Austin XL. The temp swings are driving me insane! I tried calling Pit Boss and ordering a Pro Series PID controller as another member did and they refused to sell it to me since it didn't fit my grill. Has anyone had luck with an aftermarket controller? Or had any luck ordering one from Pit Boss? My price limit is around $150 so that really limits my options too.
