How long and at what temperature is good to smoke asparagus ?

I did these last week underneath tri-tips at 225°F for 35 minutes. SPG + EVOO. They were just right; good texture and juicy. So we're the 'shrooms.

What is SPG+EVO? Is that how you smoked them, or was it directly on the grates?
