Ash inside of smoke box

Hello all I just got the Pitt boss pro series, I have used it twice and both times there has been ash on my food and in the smoke box. I am using Pitt boss competition blend wood pellets. Any type of help to figure this out would be great thank you. I will attach a picture of the area where the ash is coming from. It is shut just like it’s suppose to be

Ki also get a little ash but usually only when the water pan is empty. Not sure why that is but never any more than charcoal but less than my offset

Like Tim mentioned, I also get more ash when I use the Weber charcoal grill. But I don't recall ever seeing on the food.

I also think when the door is open it'll allow more ash to fly around. Always have customer service to see what they say.

The WALTWINS o. Yutube have a new video out with a serie7 and when they open their door you see ash give it a look.

Try a different pellet just to compare. Lumber Jack pellets from Rural King seem to burn very clean.

Just a bit in front it creeps out from under the cover
For the most part I use Sam’s Club pellets
