Any tips on cleaning the temp probe?

I know keeping the temp probe clean is crucial to achieving and maintaining the desired cook temps, but in its factory location (i have no intention on moving it), it's a bit awkward to get at to properly clean it. With the enormous wealth of knowledge in this forum, someone must have a hack to get that sucker clean!

I use LA's Totally Awesome Cleaner. It's dirt cheap, too.

You mainly just need to clean tip for it to read correctly

I use a dollar general sponge and dawn dishwashing soap

The potatoes needed foil dried out a little the squash I cooked at 250 for 4 hrs with a sweet garlic rub And it was wonderful

It’s not the cold I mind when smoking it’s this!

I can’t even open my back door! Over 12 inches of snow!
