Not Impressed with my Pit Boss Smoker

Exactly. Another one of these guys that signs up just to complain. Not looking for any advice or anything, but just wants to rant. Maybe a Traeger intern?

Honestly, if the igniter stopped working in the first year, he should have contacted customer service and got a new one under warranty. The auger motor is also under warranty. I just don't get it.
and then there are those that posted their "like" with no comment

I have had my smoker for about 2 years and am not impressed with the quality of the product. In the first year the igniter went out and I have been lighting the smoker by hand. Now the auger isn't working. I checked to see if it was clogged and it wasn't. The motor doesn't activate even when I press the Primer button. This smoker has been very unreliable and it is obvious that the workmanship and quality of the product is very poor. I tried to save a few bucks and purchased this POS but it looks like I am going to do a little research and by a better product. You get what you pay for!
You need a new controller. Call PB and tell them and they will gladly send you one. Depending on when you bought it, the warranty, etc., they might send you one for free. If not, they run about $75.00

brewsfan - I had a Trager Pro Series 34 for about 2 1/2 years. I sold it recently after one solid year of nothing but problems with the auger, motor, temp probe, and controller. I cannot tell you how many cooks were ruined because it simply stopped working. I had enough and got rid of it. I picked up a PB Pro Series 850 about 3 months ago. The rig is awesome and makes great food. I'm rolling a 10-pound ham on it as I type this. I've never seen a rig hold the temp as solid as this one. Amazing product, with great customer service.

I can attest to the great temp control. Just did a long cook the other day on my Platinum 1250 and temps never fluctuated more than 3 degrees.
