I still have had no success with my pro series 820. About 2 hours into a smoke the fire goes out and then the chamber is overrun by pallets. I have tried 4 different P settings and nothing helps the problem. I have tried to smoke at 225 - 250 and 275 and this piece of junk still does not keep...

I have decided that the 820 is a terrible smoker. After 2 successful smokes this Spring today's was back to the same thing crap that happened on an irregular basis last year. The feeder overwhelmed the pot and the fire went out. No difference in wind or temperature from the first 2 smokes...

Thank you very much for the info. I will check the timing for the feed and see if it is consistent. If it is not I will call Pit Boss. My favorite day of the year is the day of "THE GAME". I hope your school is undefeated when they get to that game, and after the game you still have to call...

I was doing that on this smoke, stirring the hopper about every 45 minutes. Between the stirs the flame went out. There are a couple of design issues with the smoker. Thanks for the tip.

I have the stack fully open and I am trying to smoke at 225. The P setting is at 4 and the air temp is 70 degrees, no wind and low humidity. I read the P setting information and I think the P4 is where I should be? Thanks

Every time I try to do a long smoke my pellet grill flames out between 3 and 4 hours into the cook. My P setting is 4, outside temp is 72 degrees. The pellets are fresh Pit Boss competition blend. I clean the grill completely between every use long or short. I can not get any answer from Pit...
